I’ll guide you through the entire process
My name is Dee, and I live in Waterloo, Ontario with my partner and our five kids in a blended family. I used to live by the beach and miss it every day, but now I embrace adventure wherever I find it. I’ve been a photographer for over 10 years, capturing stories through my lens while riding motorcycles, camping, hiking, and traveling. Alongside my photography, I’m diving into film production with a few moto-themed documentaries in the works for the coming year. Photography and storytelling are my passion,
01. SHOULD YOU ELOPE?
Eloping is about creating a wedding day that’s truly and authentically yours. If the idea of exchanging vows in a remote location or a place that holds deep personal meaning speaks to you more than a traditional wedding, then eloping might be the perfect choice. Whether it’s just the two of you or a small, intimate group of loved ones, eloping allows you to focus on the connection and love you share without the added stress of a large event. The day is about your story, your adventure, and I’m here to help you capture every beautiful moment.
02. PICK A LOCATION
The world is your backdrop! Whether you dream of eloping at the top of a mountain, in a peaceful forest, beside a waterfall, or even in your backyard, the location is all about what resonates with you as a couple. Need help deciding? I can offer suggestions based on your vision and help you scout the perfect spot. From breathtaking landscapes to cozy, personal settings, we’ll find the ideal place to tell your love story through unforgettable images.
03. SEASON & TIMELINE
When you choose to elope, flexibility is key, but the season and timing still play an important role. Different seasons offer distinct experiences and aesthetics. Want a snow-covered mountain backdrop? A lush springtime forest? Or maybe a vibrant fall landscape? I’ll help you plan around the season you love most and the timeline that fits your vision. Whether you’re hiking at sunrise or celebrating under the stars, we’ll ensure every part of your day is perfectly planned.
04. GUEST LIST
Elopements are often about intimacy, but that doesn’t mean you have to elope alone. Some couples invite a handful of close friends or family members to share the moment. Whether it’s just the two of you or you want a small circle to witness the occasion, we’ll work out the logistics to ensure that everyone important to you is included in the experience without compromising the intimate feel of your day. And if you want your furry family member to join, they’re welcome too!
05. LOGISTICS
There are a few logistics to consider, especially if your elopement involves travel or adventure. From transportation to accommodations, permits for outdoor locations, or hiking plans, I’m here to help guide you through the details. We’ll work together to create a seamless, stress-free day. I’ll also assist in creating a photography timeline so that we capture every moment, from getting ready to the final moments of your celebration.
06. LEGAL DETAILS
Depending on where you’re eloping, you may need an officiant and witnesses to make your elopement official. I can help you navigate the local requirements and even recommend some awesome officiants if needed. If you’re having a symbolic ceremony and handling the legal paperwork separately, that’s perfectly fine too! Your day is about celebrating your love, whether the legal details happen on the day or another time.
